Canaria
(WS-7282)

ALLIUM CEPA
Strong root systems, stems, and foliage make this a remarkable yellow short-day onion choice. Resistant to bolting and ideal for warm winter climates as a short-day hybrid. Plant in southern latitudes in winter, where it is encouraged to bulb in cooler weather. Great resistance to foliar diseases, too. If direct seeding, Canaria is an incredibly reliable option. It has less pungency and a smooth flavor that lasts for a long time, even post-harvest and curing. Your harvest will bring you high yields of big, globular, and extremely uniform bulbs with beautiful golden skins. Have observed very high yields per acre. Stores well, for up to 5-6 months. Flavor is a good balance between pungent and sweet.
